alufolie91 36d1f59114 correct map issues clientside
but be loud about it instead of I_Error´ing
most of those would be fatal anyways, so screw vanilla desyncing if they crash eitherways
2026-06-22 20:50:32 +02:00
entryway 99d49adad5 Check for blockmap overflow in P_BlockLinesIterator. Under RANGECHECK define. 2026-06-20 18:55:01 +02:00
alufolie91 6267e1a062 just set backsector to NULL
if not in vanilla doom compat mode/overflow emulation GetSectorAtNullAddress will just return NULL, so we can do so aswell
2026-06-19 19:08:14 +02:00
alufolie91 051bb528a6 add flag "COMPAT_VANILLA"
undefine to enable features that are not vanilla compatible
2026-06-19 19:08:11 +02:00
alufolie91 a95c9bf6ee port more checks from dsda-doom for invalid map data
decided to have it i_error for now, not sure what exactly is the best approach here
should we just "correct" some of those instead?
vanilla probably just crashes anyways
2026-06-19 16:54:58 +02:00

2026-06-16 19:08:04 +02:00
alufolie91 51d9aa6197 add credit to bayer dither shader sources
completely forgot about this (sry!)
the original implementation was mostly based on hughsk´s 8x8 bayer shader while the current is mostly adapted from the libretro 4x4 bayer shader
2026-06-16 12:32:02 +02:00
alufolie91 96a29abc62 move this back
might change behavior of this, which may desynch in rare cases

alufolie91 8129b89034 port P_VerifyBlockMap from dsda-doom
to check for blockmap issues that might cause crashes
2026-06-13 13:37:21 +02:00
alufolie91 14aaba7a87 make reject matrix print an error instead of warning
better on 2nd thought as this may crash vanilla clients that use nametags
2026-06-13 13:20:54 +02:00
alufolie91 2c1bb6c268 smol optimize fof checks in P_CheckSight
check if fof is solid before height comparisons, also split initial height comparisons to save on some height checks in some cases
2026-06-13 13:20:51 +02:00
alufolie91 cc6437285f check for missized rejectmatrix´s on load, pad them if needed
this is what dsda-doom/prboom does
ensures we wont crash from oob reads and makes us print a warning

alufolie91 3c227ec532 P_CheckSight: fix rare overflow in rejectmatrix check
didnt think this could overflow here but well it does
wish there was a better way to bounds check heap arrays in C

indev 50f839e1ad Fix JoyAxis and InputDown inputs being off by one, this fixes lookback only working for p1 (ty lug <3) 2026-06-12 16:47:55 +03:00
indev 8db399be9b Allow lookback in replays (currently only works for player 1) 2026-06-12 16:38:32 +03:00
alufolie91 8cb321993e restore functionality to set zipper/speed pad sounds
set using the front side upper texture field like the play sound special per "DSXXXX"
the parsing part already was there but not the actual code to make it use the specified sound for some reason lul
shouldnt break anything and is vanilla compatible!

alufolie91 df9a23a6c7 CL_CheckFiles: avoid using strcpy
wadfile->filename has not a fixed size, so it theoretically might be bigger than wadfilename buffer
this probably wont ever happen but better be safe than sorry honestly
2026-06-05 20:20:38 +02:00
alufolie91 a3f557f4df SV_SendFile: check if I_GetNodeAddress is set before use 2026-06-05 20:07:43 +02:00
alufolie91 1ac029edc6 optimize CL_CheckFiles a bit
the "already loaded" check will not first compare the md5sum, which is a very simple memcmp, and only then it will do string copies, nameonly mutation and name compare should the md5sum match
this should save quite a few unnecessary string operations since the md5 match case will rarely ever hit

alufolie91 746a8cec8b hw_main: make HWR_SkyWallList_Add realloc check a little safer
stuff like that should always be checked per equals/greater than just equals
in practice this shouldnt have caused any issues but its just better practice to check for greater
